John Stevens is a reknowned regional watercolorist who has been capturing the warmth and beauty of historic living in the Atlantic northeast for almost twenty years. His unconventional technique combines the traditional loose washes that watercolor is noted for with the tight detail (as seen in his realistic stone and log surfaces) that is more frequently found in oils. Inspired by colonial history and antiques, his subjects evoke an American style of living that is vanishing.

Located in the small historic town of Shrewsbury, PA (USA) John celebrates a quiet and rural style of life but we want to keep up with technology and now you can shop online!
